DHARMATMA

It gives us immense pleasure to share that our Chairman Dr.Yegnasubramanian being conferred with the title “DHARMATMA” by Jagadguru His Holiness Sri Bharati Theertha Mahaswamiji in recognition of his yeoman service to Sanathana Dharma and Sringeri Mahasamasthanam. This highest award of the title “Dharmatma” was conferred on the auspicious Saraswathi Pooja Day on October 19th 2013. Sri.Yegnasubramanian is the third person to be conferred with this honor in the 1200 years of history of the Sringeri Sharada Peetham.
Dr.Yegnasubramanian is a distinguished scientist and community leader widely recognized for his significant contributions to the propagation of Sanathana Dharma and the building of numerous Hindu temples in North America.
Temple Building: He has been a driving force behind the establishment of the Sri Sharadamba and Adi Sankara temples in the USA and Canada, serving as the Chairman of the Sringeri Vidya Bharati Foundation (SVBF) USA with  centers located at – Stroudsburg PA,  Detroit MI, Houston TX, San Diago CA, and Toronto, Canada. He is also the Chairman of Sri Guruvayurappan Temple NJ.
Philosophical and Community Impact: Dr. Yegnasubramanian is known for his leadership in various spiritual organizations. He has played a significant role in the propagation of Sanathana Dharma. His work bridges the gap between scientific professional life and traditional spiritual values.
Advocacy for Veda Patasalas: He is deeply involved in “Rescuing our Vedic Priesthood” working to ensure that the tradition of Vedic learning and the welfare of Vedic priests are maintained. He has been conducting Veda Sammelanas in India over many years expressly to honor Veda Panditas for their scholarship.
Professional Background: Before his extensive religious and community service, he was a scientist at the Bell Labs and at Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) in Mumbai.
