Aksharabhyasa or Vidyarambha is a significant ceremony for children aged 2–5 that marks the formal initiation into education. By invoking Goddess Saraswati and writing the first letters (“Om”), it seeks blessings for knowledge, creativity, and wisdom, establishing a strong, culturally rooted foundation, signifying the start of formal learning. For the child it creates a positive, memorable association with learning, helping the child feel excited and curious about starting school. |
